On October 19, 2006 BVFC was alearted at 10:31 a.m. hours for a rescue company assist Seaford with a motor vehicle accident involving a overturned tractor with 1 subject trapped under it. Rescue 71 responded with Deputy Chief Earl Chaffinch and a crew of 6 and was advised by 87 command to assist the tow truck company with winch operations to stabilize the tractor so the subject could be removed. The subject was removed at 11:26 a.m. hours and was transported to Nanticoke Hospital by Seaford's Ambulance with leg injuries. Heavy rain fall the day before appeared to be the cause making the ground very weak and caused it to collapse under the tractor causing the subject to be thrown and his legs trapped under the rear tires. All units cleared at 11:58 a.m. hours. Units responding from BVFC ( Rescue 71 )
