Assist Sta. 81 Structure Fire on Morning Glory Drive

On January 22, 2007 at approx. 02:10 Hours BVFC was alerted to assist station 81 with a structure fire on Morning Glory Drive in Laurel. Engine 71-9 responded with Deputy Chief Dave Ruff and a crew of 4 and was advised upon arriving on scene to advance a second attack line to the second floor of the structure and to check for extension to the attic area. Fire appeared to have been caused by a fire place on the first floor. The family was asleep on the second floor and was awoke by working smoke detector's. Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of the incident. All 71 units cleared at appox. 04:00 Hours. Units responded from BVFC ( 71-9, 71-6, Tanker 71-2 )
